No. Grains are not needed to make a safe, complete and balanced diet. All Primal balanced formulas use raw, meat-based proteins and do not include plant proteins such as peas, lentils, legumes, seeds, or potatoes. A typical grain-free kibble replaces grain-inclusive plant products (corn, wheat, soy, rice) with peas, lentils, legumes, seeds, potatoes, etc.
